When I arrived in this country, I had no knowledge of schools or how to adapt to the new reality surrounding such a radical change of country. I remember that my first friends were Latinos. When I initially started studying at CNHS, they helped me settle into school and navigate things more easily. They were the ones who invited me to a TuFuturo event, which focused on projects or how to assist Latino high school students. It caught my attention, so I researched the organizers of the event. That’s where I met Nadia, the Latino Coach at CNHS. I spoke to her about my interest in joining a support group, and she suggested joining the LOVE Club, which was just reopening. Without hesitation, I accepted and embarked on this journey that I do not regret.

To this day, I remain a member of the LOVE Club, and during this time, I have learned and experienced all sorts of things—languages, people, places, and new adventures. I feel so fulfilled helping many people who, like me, at some point felt without support or struggled to study due to language barriers or confusion. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to the Latino Coaches or anyone you believe can provide guidance on how to connect with them because they will always be there to listen, understand your problem, and find a solution as soon as possible, just as they helped me.
