The only way to have a shot at winning scholarships is to apply for scholarships!!!. College scholarships are free money that you don’t need to pay back. There’s no limit to the amount of scholarships you can apply for—so submit as many applications as you can. Scholarships are gifts. They don’t need to be repaid. There are thousands of them, offered by schools, employers, individuals, private companies, nonprofits, communities, religious groups, and professional and social organizations. A scholarship might cover the entire cost of your tuition, or it might be a one-time award of a few hundred dollars. Either way, it’s worth applying for, because it’ll help reduce the cost of your education. There are lot of ways to find scholarship opportunities: one of them is talking to your Latino Coach.
Indiana’s 21st Century Scholars program is an early-college promise program designed to make college more affordable for students. Eligible students who meet requirements receive a two- or four-year scholarship that pays up to 100% tuition at an eligible Indiana college or university. Get started at ScholarTrack.IN.gov. Parents/guardians will need to create an account to help students enroll, requiring their name and email address. Click on “My Account” to apply for the 21st Century Scholars program.
